Our beloved Land Rover has recently undergone a makeover. The vehicle was rebuilt by mechanical services including a fresh new paint job, then expertly wrapped with new signs and stickers by Sir Doug and the team at AKA Signage.

It is now being used as a patrol vehicle at our Mdluli Safari Lodge deployment in the private community concession in the Maroela section of the Pretoriuskop area of Kruger National Park. It is a challenging area to cover on foot as it is vast. We are assisted by having a dedicated deployment vehicle to enable us to extend patrols. The vehicle will also help to facilitate quick responses when necessary.

The vehicle includes the Pit-Track logo and website address, the Mdluli Safari Lodge logo, and K9 APU signage. Director Carl explains that “this Landy was built for K9 APU by me and my late father. It has been doing Anti-Poaching Ops for over 24 years and done well over a million miles for conservation. It was on my first deployment and will be on my last. In 24 years she has never left me stranded and always got me and the team back to base; others have not been so lucky when she caught on fire… twice! She has saved countless lives, operator, K9 and animal and is very dear to my heart as I owe her the world.”

Huge thanks to Sir Dougie and the AKA Signage Team for your work in wrapping our Land Rover. It is looking fantastic out in the field where it belongs!
