Sir Dwayne and his team have united with us to help keep our vehicles on the road, which will allow our team to keep their boots on the ground.

With our operations and deployments taking place across the country, our team needs to travel frequently, transporting team members, K9s and equipment between deployments, our headquarters and base camp, travelling thousands of kilometres each year. To do this, we need ongoing vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs, which takes up valuable funds. Gorilla Pit Garage donating their time to maintain our vehicles is a game changer for our team, making sure our vehicles are reliable to go the distance, and allowing us to channel maintenance funds into our conservation projects on the ground.

The team is currently working on our VW Combi, which requires a new gearbox and fuel pump, motor service, electrical and other associated parts and repairs. We are planning to use this vehicle to transport our team members and K9s between deployments, turning it from a Footswagen to a Volkswagen K9 and Troop Carrier. Keeping our K9s and troops mobile is essential in the protection of our wildlife.
